The English language version of the Japanese program Digimon Adventure made its way to American airwaves on August 14th, 1999.  This translation enabled viewers from some parts of  the world to experience the phenomenon that had been taking Japan by storm (some countries opted to dub the Japanese version straight through), but the thing that many of these fans don't realize is that the version they're watching is quite different from the product kids in Japan got.

The purpose of this section is to document all these changes that were made during the transition from the Japanese Digimon Adventure to the show we English speakers know as Digimon: Digital Monsters.  What follows is a list of each of the TV series, as well as a list of the animated movies produced for this franchise.  Clicking on a link will bring you to a list of episodes in those sagas that will then bring you to essays detailing every rewrite, cut, music edit, and other change that's been made.
